Important: In 2018 most courses sold out! Please don't miss out on your first choice course
As previously announced, 2019 will see us visit the Far Eastern Fells of the Lake District.
Today, we're delighted to reveal an artist's (Shane's) impression of the iconic start location at Lowther Castle - yes there may well be snow! (Insert your own marquee and gantry.)
Parking will be on hard standing (slightly softer standing if powder snow on top). Camper vans welcome. Please expect a 300m walk/sledge/skin to the (heated and solid-floored) event centre marquee. There will still be place to sleep (bring your own mat and sleeping bag) for those competitors wishing to catch 40 winks before driving home, but this will naturally not be in physically separate rooms for the first time; we've somewhat outgrown the village halls on offer in the area!
Meanwhile, Gary Tompsett (2019 course planner) has been busy seeking out the very best control locations for the ultimate Marmot Dark Mountains experience:
